About Us

At The 457 Consulting Group, we work with public sector administrators as co-fiduciaries step-by-step to help ensure they are addressing their fiduciary duties with their retirement plan. This helps ensure the most appropriate plan available for the organization’s particular needs.

This includes an evaluation of your current plan, benchmarking to assist with negotiations with your incumbent provider, full-service RFP support, fund lineup recommendations, model portfolios, fund and plan monitoring, participant education, and investment/education policy statement assistance.

In our past plan reviews with municipalities, we have found the fees to be inappropriately high. In certain plans, they were 2 or 3 TIMES higher than benchmarks.

Utilizing multiple recordkeepers has been determined in Court to be harmful to employees. It can eliminate volume discounts obtained through consolidation, cause paralysis through analysis, and also become a burden on administration.
